No experience is needed. And you don’t have to know how to “draw a straight line, or a stick figure” to take my classes. It’s fun! It’s only paint and canvas. Call some friends or co-workers and schedule a class for a birthday party, office party, family reunion or bachelorette party. I take you and your friends through step by step.
If the painting party will be at your venue (for parties more than 12 pre-paid prior to class) your supplied 6ft office table will seat 4 people. A standard card table will seat 2 people An extra table will be for myself. A sink will be needed to supply water and for rinsing the brushes (preferably a stainless steel sink, or utility sink). Ample lighting will be needed and a few outlets for blow dryers to dry paintings at various stages of the process. I will only approve a group party of 12 or more if they are at places like: the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, Hudson Public Library, your church basement, nursing homes etc. I no longer travel to parties that held in a home anymore. If your venue is out of town I charge 50 cents per mile to and from the location.
At your venue, I arrive a half an hour early to set up. If you wish your guests to eat, they can arrive a half an hour early as well and eat at a separate table than what is being set up for the painting party. Class size will be determined by how many tables can be fit at your venue. All parties sized 12 guests or less is to held in my home. Please remind your friends to dress appropriately in attire that will not be ruined if paint is dropped. (Also cover your floor if you are worried about spilled paint, I don’t take responsibility for spilled paint).
Please have your guests pay you in advance and payment can be made to me the day/night of the party by cash or check. I can take payment by credit card, a 3% fee will be added for processing. Proper ID will be needed to accept credit card payment.
Mainly—painting parties are to be held in my home for up to 12 people. All that is needed for painters, is to wear a smock/apron or painting clothes. Most parties at my home, guests brought their own food and drink to enjoy before or after the painting party. There are no stairs at my new location, but a concrete ramp for ease of those who have difficulty with stairs.
